desk with porcelain drawer front desk with porcelain drawer front is a collaborative project between dana d'amico and kwh furniture. intrigued by the unexpected placement of porcelain as part of the desk rather than a piece on top juxtaposed with asymmetrical lines, the design was realized. wood grain was first arranged in a herringbone pattern, then cast in porcelain to create the drawer front texture. the structure, details and placement of the drawer emphasize an intentional asymmetry. created for reclaim x2, a charity sale for local hurricane relief, shown at ny design week.
